Labskin UK and University of Bradford Centre for Skin Science Announce Continued Partnership

The project will further develop the Labskin Human Skin Equivalent model by introducing skin pigmentation for multiple ethnicities, allowing cosmetic tone matching applications and extending the use of the model for UV protection and drug effect studies.

The partnership between Labskin UK and University of Bradford is promoted and supported through the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) programme. KTP programmes enable businesses such as Labskin to extend their commercial competitiveness and productivity by partnering with members of the scientific community to leverage research capability in the UK.

The development team in Labskin is excited to work alongside the KTP Project Associate, Omera Bi, a former University of Bradford student who has recently completed a PhD at University of Huddersfield and University of Bradford personnel including Dr Julie Thornton, Director of the Centre for Skin Science, and Dr Jacobo Elies, the Project Supervisor.
