Science Process Industry Training

I am pleased to inform you that East Durham College are delivering Science Process Industry Training.
Training will include;
- Skills - including the use of laboratory equipment, accuracy and precision, writeups, and documentation in standard with current Good Manufacturing Practices. Alongside a basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including analytical processes for batch release and stability testing.
- Industry Awareness - including current Good Manufacturing Practices awareness, controlled drugs awareness, clean room training, contamination control and prevention. Sample retention and recording, customer audit trails, and the use of ALCOA (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, and Accurate) and monographs.
- Legislation – including risk management, COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards), HASAWA (The Health and Safety at Work Act), COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), MHRA/FDA (Regulators of industry), OEB rating (Occupational Exposure Band) and hazard sheets.
- Behaviours – including how to conduct yourself in a professional scientific environment. Areas covered; critical thinking, resilience, productivity, time keeping, work ethic, continuous professional development.
The courses are 2 weeks in duration, but can be delivered flexibly to suit your business needs. We have a brand new, unique facility which will give candidates studying on our courses the opportunity to work in a completely authentic, simulated scientific clean room environment.
Part-funding is available for these courses, and costings vary depending on the size of your organisation.
