The impact of Bioscience Degree Apprentices in Pharmaceutical Microbiology

Manchester Met has been working with AstraZeneca on teaching degree apprentices for a number of years.

The Bioscience Degree Apprenticeship (Laboratory Scientist standard) was developed with employers as there was a gap in the market particularly for Pharmaceutical Microbiology to recruit future talent.

In this case study Karen Capper shares the impact this has had within her area with reductions in turnover and retention of laboratory staff. Whilst the work based projects support the fast paced business of pharmaceutical testing.

You can read the full case study here  and find out more about the Bioscience Degree Apprentice starting in Sept 23 here .
