It’s time for a fresh look at LabTech training programmes - we have developed an exciting and unique suit of courses to get the essential training and qualifications fast-tracked. This really could be the best option for your new starters: you have to train them anyway so why not look at ways to accelerate and enhance that training?
And why not let the government pay for it?
We have been working with employers to address the need to get confident, competent Lab Workers into work and productive as soon as possible, ready to use your processes and equipment, with the minimum of demand on your own supervisors and managers. We use innovative training programmes and augmented content (such as the range of free geology, physics, chemistry and biology, Python, R and QA modules) to make this very effective.
At a glance, we offer three distinct training options, intelligently designed:
1. The government-funded Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, which we deliver using innovative technology and a unique fast-track remote programme. When talking to leaders in the science community, the biggest challenge when hiring new talent is the time taken to get employees up to speed with lab techniques and processes. Credersi front load the 20% off-the-job training requirement through blocks of learning to produce lab-ready, productive, members of your team. The Level 3 Lab Tech Apprenticeship is fully funded by the government to the tune of £ 21,000 if you have a levy pot and 95% if you don’t and it is almost certain that the 5% balance will be picked up by levy transfer from another employer which isn’t using theirs. It’s all done through the DAS account and is a doddle, if you are interested. In essence, this is £ 21K of free, nationally-recognised training and is the goal standard in demonstrating workforce competency. It’s available too new starters and existing members of your team and you can start at any time of the year.
We have trained over 100 people with mixed educational and work experience since November 2021 many of whom have gone in to build careers with supervisory and managerial responsibility, retaining skills and reliable team members at their employers. It is our doctrine to work with employers to incorporate your requirements and practices into our training and we are always interested to hear suggestions for specialist content, including that from trade and professional bodies.
Interested? Join us on a short call or Teams meeting to explore how we can work together? We would be particularly interested to hear what particular activities and knowledge you feel would benefit from additional focus in the content.
