Biotech firm 'boosts client base' with distribution deal

Officials say the agreement will “significantly bolster its customer base” by strengthening European delivery and technical support channels, as well as establishing a North African presence.

Based in The Biosphere, on Newcastle’s Helix development, Atelerix is known for hypothermic gel-based technology that preserves live cells, tissues and viruses.

CliniSciences operates as a distributor for the life science research and diagnostics sector, specialising in reagents and instruments for immunology, cell biology and molecular biology. 

Alastair Carrington, Atelerix chief executive, said: “With its established customer base and extensive team of technical experts across the continent, CliniSciences was the obvious choice of partner.

“Together, we are not only strengthening our presence in these key regions, but removing barriers to adoption.”
