Durham University’s NE Talent Bridge Internship Programme funded by Santander Universities.
Applications are now open for the NE Talent Bridge Internship Programme. Funded by Santander Universities, this scheme provides funding to businesses to support the salary of a Durham University intern over the summer period. This initiative offers businesses access to highly skilled students and graduates while helping to develop future talent.
Spaces are very limited, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.

✔ Financial support – Receive £1,495.73 per intern (covering 50% of their salary for a 7-week internship).

Project Information and Eligibility:
Open to businesses of any size or sector based in the North East of England.
Particularly encouraging industries where students face barriers to paid opportunities (e.g., creative industries, sustainability, nonprofits, consultancy).
Internships can be in-person, hybrid, or remote.
You’ll manage recruitment and selection with our support.
50% salary match funding available for one full-time internship or two part-time internships.
Interns must be paid at £12.21/hr, with 50% funding from the university.
Organisations must provide public liability insurance, employer’s liability insurance, health & safety, and equal opportunities policies.
Interns must start by 4th July 2025 (or earlier, depending on needs).

The number of funded internships are very limited this year and we reserve the right to close applications early if we receive a high volume of interest.
