Host a summer intern with Lancaster University Biomedical and Life Sciences
Companies are being offered the opportunity to host a Lancaster University Biomedical Life Sciences student in their business for a four- to six-week internship in the Summer of 2024, running between July and the end of September. The project or role the student will be part of will be specified by the host company.

The internship does not have to be related to the student’s area of study but could be in other areas that provide the student with the opportunity to develop complementary skills in addition to their academic learning to gain ‘real world’ experience.

Benefits for employers

  • Students are in their 2nd or 3rd year of study and have gained technical and analytical skills
  • Lancaster University make the recruitment process straightforward by working with you to build a requirements profile which lists the skills and attributes necessary to make the internship a success
  • A limited number of internships are available which are part-funded by the University, and this can be discussed when an internship project is submitted
  • The student will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation if required
  • You will be supported by dedicated Partnerships Development Officer, Jane Hunter, throughout the process
If you would like a telephone call, Teams call or a face-to-face meeting to discuss this internship opportunity, please contact Jane Hunter on j.hunter4@lancaster.ac.uk
