We are looking for experts with research questions that could be solved with a 3Rs driven approach. 

Ideas can come from industry, academic and the charitable sectors and be developed into a new Challenge for our 2024 competition. Challenges are pitched to the bioscience sector to develop new technologies which deliver 3Rs, scientific and business benefits.

Working with us on a CRACK IT Challenge gives you the opportunity to define the aims and deliverables, and support the success of the Challenge by collaborating with the Challenge winners and providing in-kind contributions (e.g. expertise, compounds, data or in-house testing) and end-user input.

CRACK IT Challenges fund collaborations between industry, academia and SMEs to support the development of 3Rs products and services that are directly targeted to meet end-user needs . Since 2011, CRACK IT has launched 47 Challenges, invested over £34M and worked with 51 Sponsors and Partners in projects that have developed technologies to address an unmet need using 3Rs driven approaches.
