The TOPRA Awards 2023 saw global drug development consultancy Boyds take home two awards, with its regulatory affairs team crowned winners of the Futures Award and its Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs Katherine Bowen awarded the Inspiration Award.
The TOPRA Awards for Regulatory Excellence are the annual international awards for celebrating achievement and best practice in regulatory affairs.
The Futures Award recognises the role of Boyds’ regulatory scientists in realising the potential of cutting-edge technologies. The team’s combined contributions have enabled the delivery of multiple, highly innovative products to patients in clinical trials, often in areas of high unmet need.
The Inspiration Award celebrates mentors who motivate their teams and colleagues, prompt action, or innovative outcomes, as well as recognising exceptional individuals who have stood out as inspirational team leaders in a regulatory activity or project. Katherine was nominated in recognition of her inspirational leadership, profound regulatory affairs knowledge, and pragmatic approach.
The winners were announced at the annual Awards ceremony on 29 November at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London.
Boyds was established in 2005 by Professor Alan Boyd and provides specialist consultancy services to a global client base, supporting the development of new, cutting-edge medicines for patient benefit.
