Martin has an extensive 30-year career in the manufacturing industry across a variety of sectors from medical equipment to pallets. Prior to joining Apollo, he has run a number of his own companies and was the regional director at Scott Pallets where he was responsible for five sites and increasing the capacity of the Ellesmere Port site from £4m to £20m turnover.
He has also held a number of senior positions at Huntleigh Renray and Timberline Ltd where he led transformational change, significantly increasing operational capacity and turnover by 300%.
In his new role at Apollo, Martin will be working closely with CEO Neil Hamilton to increase the company’s capacity across sales, operations and manufacturing as it advances towards its ambitious 2026 targets. He will be responsible for driving innovation and identifying areas for automation within the operational and manufacturing teams to improve Apollo’s service to its international customer base.
Martin’s initial areas of focus will be expanding the sales team starting with the recruitment of a new sales manager to increase sales volumes, increasing operational capacity, improving product and service quality and increasing on time-delivery from 95% – 97% to improve customer service.
