Are you interested in computational modelling and simulation applied to healthcare? Collaborations can be the key to developing improved computational models for a wide range of health applications, and can make a real difference in the efficacy and development of new technologies.

University of Liverpool academic, Wahbi El-Bouri, is looking for industrial collaborators interested in deploying in silico models for clinical trials and general healthcare problems. As head of the Virtual Vascular Human group within the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science, his team’s research focuses on developing in silico models of the vasculature. These models utilise mathematical modelling, deep learning, and image and signal processing. The research aims to develop ‘digital twins’ of patients for risk prediction, optimal treatment strategies, and running in silico clinical trials.

Companies interested in collaborating or discussing specific problems they would like research  expertise on should contact him on: w.el-bouri@liverpool.ac.uk.
