We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join the Business Development team and help showcase Firefinch Software to the Life Sciences sector.
About the role
- GB - Remote (any location)
- Full-Time
- £30k - £45k / year
As a Marketing Executive at Firefinch Software, you would be responsible for how the company presents itself to the wider life science industry. You would work with the Market Development Manager to target industry sectors for marketing, own the LinkedIn and website content, and help create marketing assets from case studies to blog posts.
Firefinch Software helps Life Sciences and Biotech companies to develop software that perfectly matches their business goals. To do that, we need people who are experienced at B2B marketing in those domains and can help us understand our clients and make sure our clients understand how we can help them.

Main responsibilities:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and tactics in line with the strategy.
- Content creation - produce engaging digital and physical assets such as mailers, social media and website pages including producing copy and using tools such as blogs, videos, graphics, case studies.
- Client engagement - Work with clients to produce marketing materials such as case studies and testimonials.
- Continuously analyse and evaluate marketing performance and budget.
- Events - Coordinate event exhibition and supporting materials.
- Work collaboratively across the team and with external suppliers.
Skills & experience
Required knowledge/experience
- Working knowledge in the Life Sciences or Medical Device industries - does not need to be in a marketing role.
- Desire and energy to learn more about a diverse range of Life Science, Biotechnology and Medical Device applications.
- Experience building effective relationships with stakeholders or customers to understand their business.
- Strong copy editing skills to maintain brand integrity.
- Experienced in managing the planning, writing and delivering of marketing communications.
- Experienced in managing digital channels including website and social media.
- Experience of working in a B2B marketing environment.
Desirable knowledge/experience
- Proficiency in copy design tools (such as InDesign) to generate newsletters, business cards, ad-hoc brochures, etc.
- Sound knowledge of digital marketing practices and channels such as Google Analytics, SEO and social media analytics.
- Experience contributing to strategy for reaching the correct targets with marketing campaigns.
- Experience of using HubSpot, WordPress, & LinkedIn.
- Experience in communicating science or technical issues.

How we work
You would have the opportunity to either work primarily remote with occasional visits to the office as required, or fully in our Edinburgh city centre office.
