This role will be responsible for developing and implementing fermentation processes for the production of various products, ranging from pharmaceuticals and enzymes to biofuels and food ingredients. You will optimise fermentation conditions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of desired compounds. 
  
Responsibilities
 

• Plan and execute fermentation experiments
• Evaluate and select appropriate strains of microorganisms for fermentation
• Scale-up fermentation processes from laboratory to pilot and manufacturing scales
• Monitor fermentation parameters such as temperature, pH, and nutrient levels to optimise production
• Ensure that fermentation processes comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards

Qualifications:

• A BSc or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Microbiology, Biochemical Engineering) and / or strong industry experience
• Strong knowledge of microbial physiology and metabolism.
