Our New Data Essentials Apprenticeship Programme for Upskills! (Including Python and/or R training)
Exciting News! Tiro is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Data Essentials apprenticeship program in Q4 2023!
This programme is not just suitable for people working in the lab, it can be utilised by anyone who has to deal with data in any role. You, as an employer, may decide to employ dedicated staff to this function or to include these skills within a variety of job roles as an upskill (great opportunity to utilise a Levy).

Course Summary
An apprentice in the Data Essentials program would learn the following responsibilities:
Data Collection – identifying trustworthy sources of information, collecting data from a variety of sources and in a variety of formats, and combining the data into a secure and centralised dataset.
Data Processing – manipulating and sanitising data to achieve a standardised layout and format, so that queries and analysis can be performed on it. Also considering any legal and ethical implications relating to the collected data.
Data Visualisation – analysing and presenting data to support business decisions and outcomes.
The program will build skills with a variety of tools such as MS Excel, SQL Python, Power BI, and others, which can be incorporated into the overall organisation from the beginning of the programme.
The course is designed to be completed within 15 months, which includes the preparation for and completion of the final EPA assessments.
