Apollo's annual charity donation to support local and global communities

Since 2019, instead of giving out Christmas cards and gifts, we have made an annual donation to one local and one global charity, reflecting the communities we operate in so that the funds that would have been used will have a more meaningful purpose, supporting our social and environmental ambitions.

Over the past couple of weeks our employees have been voting for a local charity and our customers and partners have been voting for a global charity so we can ensure that the donations will go to where they are needed the most.

The local charity our employees have voted for is: Lifeshare, a voluntary organisation established to help meet the needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Manchester and Salford. The first point of contact is with people on the streets, offering practical assistance, support and information. From this point they offer continued assistance that enables people to secure suitable accommodation, support them in maintaining their tenancies, and help them to access initiatives that carry their lives forward.
