Raw Materials for Polyimides
Published on 18/02/2021
Polyimide is a generic name of polymers with imide bonds. Generally, they have excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, electrical insulation, mechanical strength, and low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). Polyimides are used in flexible printed wiring boards in electronic devices, insulating material for electronic circuits, protection films for semiconductors, and alignment films for liquid crystal molecules.
TCI has a wide variety of raw materials for polyimide synthesis. They include aromatic and aliphatic amines, aromatic and aliphatic carboxylic anhydrides, and diisocyanates. In addition, our portfolio also includes raw materials for polymers that exhibit a high coefficient of visible light transmittance and low CTE, which is used in displays of the next generation with transparency and flexibility.
