They are now recruiting for a Scientist within the Analytical team for maternity cover, on a 12 month fixed term contract (although with their expansion plans there is a better than average chance you would be offered a permanent contract afterwards)

With an ever-expanding portfolio of projects in delivery and in the pipeline, it is a great opportunity for you to be a part of and steer the future development of the Analytical team. This role is an opportunity to work across a range of product types (e.g. mAbs, recombinant proteins, RNA and AAVs) and a variety of analytical techniques, to include: ELISA , qPCR, ddPCR, UPLC / HPLC , Mass Spectrometry, Mass Photometry, cIEF, CE-SDS , CE , DLS , DSC , CD , MFI , SEC-MALS , SDS-PAGE . Typical analytical work packages can include development of analytical methods, molecule characterisation, and analysis of residuals and impurities.


  • Support delivery of technical projects, through development and provision of analytics across analytical and process teams.
  • To assist the development of analytical assays to provide proof of successful process development/ optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of new practices and procedures from relevant literature and other sources.

It is essential that you:

  • Are educated to a minimum of HNC or Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) in a Scientific/ Engineering discipline plus hold relevant industrial experience, ideally, you will be educated to Degree level or above (or equivalent) plus hold significant industrial experience.
  • Have experience and understanding of a range of analytics in any of the following; UPLC / HPLC , Mass Spectrometry, Mass Photometry, cIEF, CE-SDS , CE , DLS , DSC , CD , ELISA , qPCR, ddPCR, MFI , SEC-MALS , SDS-PAGE .
  • Exhibit professional knowledge of principles and practices in analytical techniques, as well as experience of practical, technical-based work gained in academic or industrial environments.
