A University of Bradford (FoLS) sponsored one-day partnering event between academia and industry working in the Yorkshire region (but not exclusively) and with a focus on “Healthcare Innovation and Bioscience”
  • Our event will focus on promoting relationships between academia and industry
  •  We have taken an approach to include talks, case studies and a partnering event
  •  We will partner with Bionow an experienced event hosting/networking organisation

The Yorkshire region is home to many innovative companies in the healthcare sector with specialist expertise in medical devices as well as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, nutraceuticals and speciality ingredients. The UoB strategy includes growing its connection with the local community which includes regional industry. Translational research activities contribute to improved impact of research promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, revenue and make a valuable contribution to knowledge transfer.

The aim of the event is to bring together academic researchers and industry representatives together under a ‘Yorkshire Bio Partnering’ event with a theme of collaboration between academia and industry to enhance research and innovation in healthcare and biosciences.

To showcase ‘regional’ support for collaborative research and highlight case studies of successful partnerships of through talks from invited speakers
Host a partnering activity to encourage interactions between all participating organisations
To provide opportunity for exhibiting/posters and informal networking 


Pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics, drug delivery, nutraceuticals and speciality ingredients/polymers and others.

Presentations themes
  • Innovation in healthcare with a focus on academic and industry/NHS partnerships
  • Funding available for innovation for SMEs/industry in partnership with an HEI
  • Life Sciences/Bioscience UK strategy

This event will be of interest to individuals working in industry (in particular innovation-led SMEs) as well as academics interested in innovation in the areas of healthcare and biosciences.
