£5,000 of funding to use the University of Edinburgh's world-class cellular imaging facilities
We have an opportunity for SMEs (UK and EU) to access the facilities housed at The Edinburgh Super-Resolution Imaging Consortium (ESRIC), which is based at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, Western General Hospital. The team of cell biologists and physical scientists use super-resolution microscopy, which reveals cellular detail far finer than conventional microscopes, to study how cells function and how disease develops.
Access is normally limited, and charged at £100 per hour plus a consultancy fee, however the funding on offer covers all fees and can open up projects that might otherwise be out of reach. For example, you could:
• Complete pilot work for a new therapy or diagnostic
• Test how your drug or therapy affects cells in a research trial
• Capture high-quality images of your product for marketing or investor materials
This is open to SMEs based in Scotland, the rest of the UK, and mainland Europe, with no matching funds required.
