Pharma Services Hub launches podcast series sharing practical insight into pharmaceutical outsourcing
Pharma Services Hub (PSH) has launched a new series of video podcasts designed to share practical knowledge and insight into pharmaceutical development, outsourcing and the selection of specialist service providers.
Available through the Pharma Services Hub platform and Pharma Services Hub YouTube channel, the newly launched podcasts feature the founders of Pharma Services Hub, drawing on their industry experience to explore some of the technical and commercial questions pharmaceutical companies face when progressing development programmes and working with external partners.
The series is set to expand. Over the coming weeks, Pharma Services Hub will introduce conversations with specialists working across pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, testing, consulting and outsourcing, building towards a growing library of industry knowledge from companies providing services through the PSH platform.
Practical insight into pharmaceutical services
The podcast series explores a broad range of subjects relevant to companies developing pharmaceutical products and managing outsourced activities.
Topics include selecting the right service provider to support discovery, development and commercial programmes, identifying the benefits of using specific support to de-risk programmes, and sharing insights around best practice for project delivery.
Other discussions will address particular technical aspects associated with modality-specific development and scale up challenges, providing learnings from those who routinely solve such issues.
Together, the podcasts provide an accessible introduction to areas that can become critical at different points in the development pathway.
They also address an important aspect of pharmaceutical outsourcing: finding a provider with a particular capability is only part of the decision. Development teams need to understand what they require from a service provider, which questions to ask prospective partners and what factors could affect the success, cost or timing of a project. Technical expertise, relevant experience, regulatory requirements, capacity, communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider development programme can all influence provider selection.
By discussing individual service areas in more detail, the podcast series aims to give pharmaceutical companies useful context before they begin searching for and engaging with potential partners.
Connecting knowledge with the right expertise
The podcast series complements the wider purpose of Pharma Services Hub: helping pharmaceutical companies identify appropriate external expertise for their projects. PSH operates as an independent B2B marketplace connecting pharmaceutical companies with specialist service providers. Companies can define their project requirements and use the platform to identify and compare service providers relevant to those requirements. The platform spans multiple areas of pharmaceutical services, bringing different disciplines and organisations together in one place.
The growing podcast library adds another dimension to that approach. Alongside helping users discover potential partners, Pharma Services Hub wants to make specialist industry knowledge more accessible, giving pharmaceutical companies a better understanding of what they need before deciding who they need.
With further interviews planned over the coming weeks, Pharma Services Hub aims to develop the series into an expanding resource, providing perspectives from the people working directly within the specialist disciplines on which successful development programmes depend.
The current Pharma Services Hub podcast series is available to watch on the Pharma Services Hub YouTube channel, with new conversations being added in the coming weeks. To find out more about Pharma Services Hub and its network of pharmaceutical service providers, visit www.pharmaserviceshub.com.
