LYVA Labs announces appointment of two non-executive directors to board
LYVA Labs continues to grow and evolve, and as we enter our next phase we are delighted to announce the appointment of two non-executive directors to our board.
Ian Proctor has spent his career working at the interface of academia, government and commerce, with a focus on translation of research into impact and significant experience in setting up and financing spin-outs and commercialising healthcare technologies. Ian has established technology transfer offices and associated investment funds in the Middle East, and as co-founder Arkane Innovation has worked for clients across the world including the World Bank, providing innovation consultancy and thought leadership.
Fiona Tuck is a Director at Metro Dynamics, where she leads work on sectors, clusters and innovation. She specialises in helping places turn research, innovation and industrial strengths into economic growth through sector development, cluster strategies and innovation ecosystem design.
Fiona works at the intersection of research, industry and place, supporting government, universities, research organisations and industry to identify emerging opportunities, strengthen innovation capabilities and unlock investment. She brings experience of translating complex evidence into practical strategies that support commercialisation, growth and long-term economic impact.
The impact LYVA Labs has delivered to date has been through a combination of: pre-seed investment, leveraging significant grant funding and co-investment funding, and tailored innovation consultancy alongside access to sector experts and resources across our regional clusters spanning industry, academia and the public sector. Fiona and Ian bring a wealth of experience, expertise and networks to our board and we look forward to working with them to shape our future plans.
