Bachem UK Ltd. was founded in 1992, acquired by Bachem in 1999, and is located in St. Helens, in the United Kingdom. The site is the Bachem Centre of Excellence for the production of Research Chemicals, and manufactures a wide range of custom and catalogue peptides via solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). Using state-of-the-art automated equipment, the site can efficiently produce over 1,000 peptides annually. Since 2017 the site has been ISO13485 certified for the manufacture of peptides used as raw materials in medical devices, and specialises in products for use in in-vitro diagnostics with a full range of associated services.
