Description of the Role
This role will be responsible supporting the delivery of microbiology, assay services and the production of labskin, in compliance with standard operating procedures.  This role will work to the Quality Systems outlined in the Quality Manual, ensuring full compliance with production standards and procedures.  This is an entry level, varied position which will involve undertaking a wide range of tasks, with a great opportunity for development in a rapidly growing innovative company. 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Supporting service delivery by preparation of reagents and medium
Stock taking of laboratory consumables
Routine equipment maintenance and calibration of equipment
Cleaning of laboratory and equipment
Other supervised laboratory activities
Supporting the Quality Assurance and Operational support activities
Active involvement in all Health & Safety procedures
Performing any other duties, as required to support the business plan

Qualifications & Experience
A-Level or higher in Biology or Chemistry
No previous laboratory experience necessary

This is a brand new, exciting role for Labskin a ground-breaking and quickly expanding bio-science company, based at the National Agri-Food Innovation Campus (NAFIC) at Sand Hutton just outside York on the A64.
We are looking for someone with good organisational skills, who is self-motivated, with a keen attention to detail and a strong desire to learn new skills.

You will be assisting our scientists within our laboratories; by preparing medium and reagents, stock taking of laboratory consumables, undertaking routine equipment maintenance and calibration and other supervised laboratory duties.  
As we are expanding rapidly there is potential for the role to grow with you, as you take on more responsibility.  There will also be the opportunity to gain further qualifications within the biosciences field.
